I offer a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space to talk openly, make sense of what you’re going through and explore ways forward.
You don't have to arrive knowing exactly what you need from counselling.
Sometimes the first step is simply having a conversation about what has been happening and seeing whether counselling feels like the right support for you.
I work collaboratively with adults and adolescents, adapting counselling to your circumstances, needs and pace.
You may be looking for support with:
Stress and anxiety
Emotional overwhelm
Self-esteem and confidence
Loss and grief
Life transitions and uncertainty
Relationship and family difficulties

Individual Counselling
Marriage and Relationship Counselling
Relationships can become stuck in patterns that are difficult to change on your own. Sometimes the same disagreement keeps happening, communication breaks down, or one or both partners begin to feel unheard, disconnected or uncertain about the relationship.
Couples counselling provides a structured space to slow these patterns down, understand what is happening between you and work towards more constructive ways of relating.
Couples may come to counselling to work through:
Recurring conflict and arguments
Communication difficulties
Feeling unheard or misunderstood
Emotional disconnection
Trust and relationship ruptures
Differences around family, finances or future plans
Difficult transitions
Premarital and marriage preparation
Rebuilding connection
Trauma and Crisis Support
Teen Emotional and Academic Support
The teenage years can bring emotional, social and academic challenges that can sometimes feel difficult to manage alone.
Counselling can provide a safe, supportive space for teenagers to talk through what they’re experiencing, while building confidence, emotional awareness and practical strategies for managing everyday and academic challenges. Using a person-centred, strengths-based approach, sessions are tailored to each teenager and their individual needs.
You may be looking for support with:
Stress, anxiety or feeling overwhelmed
Self-esteem and confidence
Academic pressure, motivation or study habits
Exam stress and performance pressure
Friendships and relationships
Managing emotions and developing coping strategies
Organisation and balancing school and everyday life
Navigating adolescence, change and growing independence
Experiencing something frightening, overwhelming or unexpected can leave you feeling unsettled, anxious or unsure of how to process what has happened.
Counselling can provide a safe, supportive space to slow things down, make sense of your experience and focus on what you need in the present moment. We can work at a pace that feels manageable, with an emphasis on feeling safe, supported and more grounded.
You may be looking for support following:
A traumatic or distressing experience
An accident, assault or other frightening event
A sudden loss or difficult life event
Workplace incidents or critical events
Feeling overwhelmed, anxious or unsettled after an experience
Difficulty feeling safe, calm or emotionally grounded
Changes in your sense of self, relationships or everyday functioning

My journey
My journey into counselling has been a winding path. I began my career in the sciences before retraining in psychology and counselling, drawn to work that allows me to connect with people and create a space where they feel safe, seen and heard.
Through my work with organisations such as the South African Depression and Anxiety Group, as well as my experience in bereavement and relationship counselling, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people through some of life’s more difficult and uncertain moments.
I believe that you don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to counselling. Sometimes, you simply need a space to slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing and work out what comes next.
My approach
I see counselling as a collaborative process. I’m not here to tell you what you should do or to give you all the answers. Instead, I’ll work alongside you to understand what you’re experiencing and what would be most helpful for you.
Depending on what brings you to counselling, we might explore experiences and patterns that are affecting you, develop practical ways of coping, work on communication and relationships, or simply create space to process what you’re going through.
My approach is primarily person-centred and strength-based, with elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and psychoeducation incorporated where appropriate. I aim to meet you where you are, work at a pace that feels manageable, and help you draw on your own strengths and resources as you move towards greater clarity and wellbeing.
How can I support you
A relaxed, no-pressure conversation to talk about what’s brought you to counselling, ask any questions, and get a feel for how I work. It’s also an opportunity to see whether we’re a good fit — with no obligation to book a session.
Available online or in person.
